Project 3 includes the planned bauxite mine in the contested Atewa Forest. GIADEC stated it has finalised negotiations with its \u2018preferred strategic partner\u2019 and is going through necessary approval processes.<\/p>\n<p>A Rocha Ghana is urgently reminding all investors and mining companies \u2013 especially GIADEC\u2019s \u2018preferred strategic partner\u2019 \u2013 that Atewa Forest is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ghana.arocha.org\/news\/breaking-zero-extinction-status-makes-atewa-no-go-area-for-mining\/\"><strong>no-go area<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for bauxite mining. Any investor or company planning to partner GIADEC in this endeavour will face immediate sustained local and international resistance.
